Will a bike with a 5j rear rim, fail for having a 180 rear tyre on it?? |

No.........because it isn't part of the test. Condition of wheels and tyres, yes, but size, no. I've double checked with my mate who is a tester and it's not summit they look at.
All the bikes i've had with 190 rims i've run thru' MOT's with 180 tyres on and they've never been examined in that respect. |

Got to mot my cbr and want to run 180 rears and the current 160 is bald. Didnt want to have to get a 160 just to mot it. |

| the only time it would be failed is if the tyre contacts any part of the swingarm , chain etc they will check for wear marks |

car at mo but looking todo bikes aswell next year :)
but as you know the mot device had the rules on cars and bikes so can look up anything thats asked :) |

| same for me only do 4 and 7 at mo but trying to swing it to do some work for a local bike place, i do the same as you use the f5 for the manual on bikes , |
