| Has anyone that has fitted just a can to a K8 had to do any further work such as re-maps etc to sort any running problems or is it as easy as just fitting it and it running fine? My dealer phoned Suzuki who suggested to try it but commented that a replacement performance filter is not recommended? I quite fancied doing them both in time, any thoughts or experience?? |

| you wont need a remap straight away as you are keeping the cat,but you would be better off having it remapped at some stage, and suzuki will always say that,as they dont make any money from replacement air filters as they are washable |

| I thought the same but it was there tech dept. so it made me think twice. Is re-mapping done by my suzuki agent or is it required at a specialist bike tuner using a power commander? New to this bike tuning thing! |

If your just putting a slip on on you dont need to re-map.
If you De-cat the bike you will HAVE to re-map as it messes up the fuelling.
To do this you need to get a Power Commander fit it & get it re-mapped.
Just had mine done at the wkend & a performance BMC filter fitted.
It's so much better now! |

I have a K8 600.
If you buy the Power Commander Brand New you can buy direct from the Dynojet website for £280.
Or you can buy from PGM raching like i did & it cost me £230 + whatever delivery options you choose.
They also have a Ebay store if you want to use paypal.
They have loads in stock & if your unsure just phone them up and ask them.
I'm not sure how much a re-map will cost you.
I have a mechanic friend who works next door to me who fitted & made a custom map for me & it was all included in the price of the install.
I suppose at a ball park your looking around £150 for a custom mapping (although at a dynojet centre that £150 might also include install).
It will be the best thing you do, mine sounds & goes incredibly compaired to before! |
