Hello to all,
Right, i've been thinking this one through but decided I need some advice first. My bike is standard (k5 600) apart from a K&N filter and a Yoshi tri-oval road legal can. I recently had it on the dyno and its making 108bhp at the rear wheel.
People keep telling me that the next thing to get for my bike is a power commander. I've got a few questions:
1. What sort of gains, if any, will I get?
2. Will I notice a massive difference with the power commander on?
3. I've seen them for sale for around £250 - is that a good deal??
Im not going to be doing any track days so will it be a worthy investment or not?
Regards
Chris |

keep your eye on fleabay, you will get one for about a ton. well worth it, the ecu's are shit set-up from factory for emmissions etc. look at some old v new power curves in mags, they speak for themselves. if nothing else you will save on fuel... |

| My k4 600 was noticably nicer with the power commander. You may not get huge gains from 108bhp but its the gains on the way up there i found to be improved. At the sort of revs where you spend most of your time on the road it pulled smoother with more grunt. |

I got mine purly to smooth the throttle out and gain some better mpg, Gained 2.5hp from having it setup as well. Noticed a difference as soon as I put it on even with just a random downloaded map.
Look on ebay USA, you pay the same price in USD as GBP so its half price. |
