 |
|
Recently iv been reading the book "Keith Code, A twist of the wrist" Who is one of the blokes who runs the California Superbike school.
I found some really interestin stuff on riding techniques the most dramatic of which is the Countersteering technique which for anyone who doesnt know, the act of steering the opposite way to turn into a bend better.
The first time i tried it it confused the hell out of me, i turn the bars left and the bike went right....
Iv been using it more and more and now iv worked it into my riding style a bit my cornering is much more controlled than before!!!!
Does anyone else use it deliberately or is it a waste of energy??
My back and shoulders ache like mad after a ride these days!!! |

Its the only way to ride fast, only so much can be done with body weight. Once you get used to it you will be slapping the bike onto its side quicker than you ever thought possible |

| you'll find that every rider who goes above 20-25mph counter steers, they just dont realise it. |

I agree 100% but as soon as you are concious of the effect that it has you can use it to improve your cornering!!
Next time you are in a left hander, just push your left handlebar forward and feel the bike drop!!!! |
