 |
|
From PB Suspension issue;
SRAD750 (WW/WX) will be same for WT/WV;
Front
Compression (thats the adjuster at the bottom of the fork leg Pops) 1 and half turns out from fully in.
Rebound (the small screw adjuster on the top of the fork) 1 and three quarter turns out from fully in.
Preload (The big adjuster on top of the fork) 2 rings showing / 25mm static sag
Rear
Compression (slot at top of rear shock) 2 and one quarter turns out from fully in.
Rebound (slot at the bottom of shock) 1 to 1 and a half turns out from fully in
Preload (ring adjuster and locknuts, top of spring)10mm of unused travel / 6mm static sag
SRAD 600
Front
Compression half a turn out from fully in
Rebound half a turn out from fully in
Preload 3 rings showing
Rear
Compression three quarters of a turn out from fully in
Rebound one turn out from fully in
Preload 24-25mm of thread showing above top locking ring
Rear sag is set by getting the weight off the the shock so it extends fully, then measuring from a fixed point on the bike to somewhere like, say, the wheel spindle, re-adjusting the shock then so that distance is reduced or extended accordingly (or summit like that, APOLOGIES POPS!) If you want to know how to do that properly, post up and someone who knows a lot more than me will most probably answer. I hope. Itake no responsibility if you fcuk it up and crash. Blame Performance Bikes. They've got more money than me
Please be aware that these settings were the ones that the testers found to give best results on road and track, and will be stiffer than stock settings. Also no doubt set up for "gentlemen of slightly larger size"
However NOTHING will be as good as getting your forks/shock rebuilt/revalved to your weight and set up for you specifically. Having said that I found the front settings for the 600 worked fine for me on track |

| I'd use 750, not like it's much heavier than a 600. |

preload (sag) should be done by measurement when fitted, ideally get to a track & pay £30-40 quid to the specialist, you won't regret it |

Ok I know I`m being thick here but is this something I should be looking at?
Does it make a difference to the handeling of the bike?
I`ve actually had it lowered for me because my feet wouldnt touch the floor.
Im 9 stone so in what way would my bike need adjusting? |
