| OpsMan, are they only fixing this if the bike is still under warranty even if it has had this fault from new? Mine is three months out of warranty, but I took it back to the dealer when it was only six months old with this problem and they denied any knowledge of a fault. |

if the problem is anything like my dads gsxr1100 slabby, the problem can be solved by removing 2 of the clutch springs, but the only problem with this is the clutch will then have a small tendancy to slip.
the main cause is the steel plates warping under the heat, replacing them sorts the problem but its expensive, about £180 for steel plates and clutch plates |

| hi every one im new to this site , i have a k6 1000 that suffered the clutch problem . after reading ur posts about this problem i went to my local suzuki dealer and had a chat with the top technician and he told me it is a recognised problem and that suzuki are not recalling all bikes but will honour the work done under warranty if ur bike has the prob . my bike has now been done and no longer suffers the clutch grab , its a washer they put in that cures it hope this helps cheers |

this is the correct cure, superstock bikes, the K5 ones all had a washer put in which cures the problem, using 3 barnet springs with 3 standard springs also improves the performance of the clutch. mine is used for racing and works perfectly. |

| In reguards to this my K6 has a similar issue just as the other guy describes. I was told there is a SB as mentioned on the first page. I took mine to the dealer at....probably 8-10,000miles and they supposedly complied with it. Kinda fixed the issue but it is DEFINITLY still there. Does anyone have access to the actual service bulletin from suzuki? About that washer and springs...where are we talking about? the pressure plate and clutch hub? |
