Don't know much about the whole suspension game... I'm roughly 9 1/2 - 10st and "think" my bike handles just fine on it's factory settings.... It can throw you off the seat at times.... but when really on it it feels just fine? 140mph knee down bumpy "racetracks" and it handles it totally controlled... Then there is the grass is greener thing...
Would I benefit from a tune up?... I fancy doing the fork oil etc as the bike is now 2 yrs old, what about a pair of linear fork springs? and set up for my weight? They are only roughly £100 as opposed to £500+ for a new shock...
I am tempted to go down replacing the shock though, not because I'm necessarily unhappy with mine... its just starting to look a bit worse for wear, doing 2 winters... |

I am having the road bike done by Maxton after this season finishes. It's a K3 1000, done around 27k. The shock is a bit like a pogo stick now and the forks could do wth a complete overhaul.
Will see what the difference is afterwards. |

You guys think the pre load settings for a K4 would be the same as the K3?
When I first got the bike I f**ked up and set them bith the same, luckly I did this when I got it, so theres been no 'its gone all shite now' .
Serves me right for mucking about. |

| I've got K4 1000 forks on my K2 1000, just wondered if I should go for the suggested rear settings for the K2 and suggested front for a K4? My guess is this is the way to go, anybody have any experience of this combination? |
