I am relatively new to bikeing but am on the hunt for a yoshi exhaust system for my gsxr 600 k4. I am considering both bolt on and full systems. My main concern with the full system is db levels when it comes to mot time. Do they all come with db lowering inserts? Is it better just to go with a bolt on for ease of swapping can at mot/nosey copper time?

Go with the full system if you want it. Even if your system does not come with a baffle there are plenty of places inc flea bay who sell after market DB Killers

an end can is far cheaper and just as good .. any of the k1 - k5 600/750 and k1 - k4 1000 end cans will fit

the db is down to the mot mans discretion

Just a point on dB killers. My Akropovic rcae can (used to be on the 1100) was varying between 100 and 102 dB when tested. I put the dB killer in for Oulton as it was a 102 day. I was a bit concerned because Oulton is very strict on noise levels. When it was checked it was 94. The standard can is 93. SO, it works quite well. Not for long in my case as the Akro is now folded in half. C'est la vie.

Any thoughts on buying from across the pond, systems seem to be a lot cheaper?

Would't perchance be a 50mmm slip on would it? Smile
I suppose the best thing is to ask him as long as fgb isn't wanting it.

Yes to buying from the states, its roughly dollars for pounds. Even if you get hit for import duty its still working out cheaper than buying in the Uk for new parts

thanks for all the input, plumped for a bolt on yoshi can on flea bay. Think i'll leave the full blown systems for when i get more serious into track days. Point noted on buying from america. Cheers.

I purchased my Yosho TRC Carbon can from Motomummy in the US with no problems at all. Even with import duty it worked out to be around £350 all in

Nice!
