Hi guys,

Finally got my bike started today afer charging the battery on a trickle charge for a few hours.

Two questions though:

Fuel gauge.... is there one???? Confused

and also I had the bike running for about 5-10 mins in a stationary position and the temp gauge went up to 105 degrees... but the radiator fan didnt turn on. is this normal?

At what tempreture is the fan supposed to turn on?

Thanks for the help guys... id be lost with out y'all

Very Happy

Mine may possibly be in Farenhite too, just assumed it would be in Celcius.

How many miles can you get out of the bike when the reserve light comes on (while doing sensible driving that is)

as sam said .. flashing orange light with fuel pump symbol will appear when going on to reserve . Mileage wise on reserve I can't remember as mine was in kms and too long ago so i think I got around maybe 21 miles by conversion @ 40ish and not fully out before finding a petrol sation
( I think if you drop to 40-50 mph you get between 18-25 miles ..I never let it run dry so can't be accurate on that score )

Fan on average cuts in at 105

You have to just fill the bike up reset the tripometer and see how many km you get before the reserve light and then just judge from there on.

The fan should be coming on at about 107 degrees. My bike comes on at 106-108 degrees. so it's perfectly normal for it to go up to 105 degress without the fan kicking in. Once you go past 120 start worrying, or better yet switch the bike off first.
