Just brings home the danger these boys risk.It was sickening to watch, and as Mr K3 says, the camera just stayed with the poor bugger laid out on the track,My lad had to look away,we both thought he was going to get hit by another machine.Just hope he pulls through.

The following is from Craig Jones' team...

Parkalgar Honda’s Craig Jones has been taken to the Royal London hospital after a crash during the ninth round of the World Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch in Kent today.

The 23-year-old Peterborough based Brit was fighting for the race lead when the accident happened at Clark Curve. The race was stopped and red-flagged with the result going back to the previous lap as medical staff attended him on the track.

Simon Buckmaster, Parkalgar Honda Team Manager: “Craig was treated trackside by the medical staff before being transferred by air-ambulance to the Royal London Hospital. He has a serious head injury and the doctors have placed him in a pharmacological coma to stabilise his condition. We will not know any more for at least 24 or 48-hours – all our thoughts are with him and his family.

“I would like to thank the medical staff for their attention and also the well-wishers for their thoughts. We shall update the news on Craig’s condition as and when we can.”

It's hard to read the statement on MSV or the Parkalgar websites.

Craig, Godspeed my friend.

i am absolutley gutted !!

i was at brands for weekend and as a whole was great.

i was stood at the exit of clearways onto paddock straight and saw the crash and was immediatly stunned by the way he fell!!!

i was honestly upset and had a lump in my throat to see him lying on the track and i immediatly thought the worst!!

R.I.P jones and may you ride forever in peace in your final resting place Crying or Very sad

just remember he was top class rider with the best protective gear available with Dr's on scene far sooner than we on the roads would ever get an ambulance.

stay safe boys ride to arrive Sad
