I used to love my big twins. But watching this video after the session ended reminded why I love my K5 even more.

He was very quick in the slow to medium bends and his braking was awesome. I did have some knackered EBC brake pads and a destroyed rear tyre to contend with. Plus I didnt know he was there ! I thought I heard him a few times but I never look back. With the rear facing camera you cant see when we are flying up behind slower riders into the corners. I try to give them plenty of room, although there was one who clearly got distracted and wobbled off the track. You can see it on the video if you look closely.
I do love the way the Gixer romps away from the KTM down into Eau Rouge and then up through Radillon along the straight. I am sure it would be a different story at Rockingham or Mallory. But at the fast tracks you need Gixer power. |

It wasn't open pit but that was the last session of the 2 days so lots of people dipped out because they were knackered or rushing for the ferry.
It is the 5th year I have done Spa and I love it more each year. It is soooo fast with some big balls high speed corners. It can rain a lot but we had two hot sunny days this year. My favourite track! |

Does look a good track that.
Which group were you riding in as the guys you were passing looked to be ambling round
Saw the guy go off, he kept it upright though |

We were in the Intermediate group. I should really ride in the fast group but I wanted to film my mates. There were a couple of very slow bikes but you just have to give them plenty of room. I felt really guilty when I saw the guy going off the track as I watched the video. I have boked into the fast group for the Dawn till Dusk at Silverstone on the 16th June.
Any one else going on the 16th? |

Awsome vid! the KTM is probably best part of 25 BHP down on your k5 but he kept reeling you in on the twistys, he was good on the brakes too! |
