Cadwell park was the first time I rid a sportsbike (the R6 i now own) lol.

I passed my test then two weeks later my cousin paid for me to go round in the novice group. I ended up doing a 2:08.

I've done it twice since then and managed a best of 1.57

Didn't manage to better 1.53 in the end Sad

Thursday evening 1st session was shite, couldn't get on with rearsets in the position I had them, so moved them a lot for the second session which was much better, got to 1.56 that session. Only road bike to go past was mcn's adam childs on a new zx-6r (will have to get mcn to read that review) - now he is quick & was backing it into most corners & spinning it up nicely on the exits too!
Third session got to 1.53 for a couple of laps, bit wary as chris curves have just been re-surfaced on the outside & parts of the inside & it looked a bit shiny, but turned out they were fine.

also at the end of the 2nd session a zx7-r seized in a major way at the end of Park & left oil 10 metres before the corner on the entry line where he'd laid it down before it went up in clouds of smoke, which ended the session and spoiled the run thru Park for thur & friday until enough concrete dust had been moved to make a decent line useable Sad

Friday & found myself in inters instead of fast Sad lapping consistent 1.53/4's, but too much slow traffic to better it Evil or Very Mad

went up to fast group in the afternoon, but the front brakes were playing up & almost had me off, so retired 2 sessions from end annoyed that I hadn't got below 1.50. oh well next time......

will watch my vid back & if footage is any good will post a lap or two over weekend.

All I care about is being quicker than my last best time. I aint bothered about being faster than anyone else.....
I have a family to go home to and a mortgage to pay, so dont care about being quicker than anyone else. I am my own biggest rival!
When you start worrying about beating the next guy is the day you should give up trackdays and start racing....

Stupid i just go to enjoy myself and i know that after each lap/session i am normally quicker than the previous one.
i have,nt got a track bike so i do hold back cos it,s a long walk home if i bin it and i can,t afford to rebuild it Sad
i do however, pick some one out and have a go with them and love it to bits Laughing
when i can afford a track bike,i will be nailing the bitch as hard as possible cos i won,t care if i bin her Wink

Stupid

only got 1 bike and being self employed have to think about going back to work, but that doesn't stop me being competetive with myself, hence why I bought the lap timer so I could see if I was improving.
